Consultant
Erik van Vulpen is a senior consultant at GSG, with
extensive experience in international markets, commercial
management, brands, innovation and insights.
Before joining GSG, Erik spent 7 years in Singapore as
Regional Strategy Director for Samsung and as Head of Marketing at
Asia Pacific Breweries managing brands such as Tiger, Heineken and
Guinness. More recently, he was CCO for Millicom - a mobile telco
service provider that specialises in emerging economies in Sri
Lanka.
Prior to moving to Asia, Erik worked as a management
consultant focusing on growth strategies and innovation. He
pioneered co-creation in the late 90's and was a founding member of
the youth marketing practice within his consultancy.
In this capacity, Erik has has worked on a wide range of
challenging projects for Nike, Coke, Heineken and
others.
Erik holds a Bachelor in Business Engineering and a
Masters in Marketing Communications. In his free time he spends
time with his wife Haipei, sons Kuan and Lee, his bass and
occasionally with a basketball.
