Salesforce.com is becoming a global power brand, much more then
just a software package. Not many people in the street will have
heard of Marc Benioff, but his values and sense of purpose is
driving a large part of that recognition. See the article.
I visited one of their meetings and the writer is right: they do
know how to make it genuinely exciting and they do know how to stay
humble as well. Most of the talking and answering questions was
done by their own customers. And not ten short bubbles how great
salsesfore.com is, but a few who answered questions for almost an
hour.
This goes to our mantra: "clarity of purpose and direction" is
the first but often compromised requirement for growth.
